Membership Freeze Policy

We understand that sometimes life gets in the way of your practice. Our freeze policy is designed to be fair, clear, and consistent for all members.

What is a freeze?

A freeze temporarily:

  • Pauses billing for Direct Debit memberships, or
  • Extends the expiry date of prepaid memberships

for an approved period.

How do I request a freeze?

All freeze requests must:

  • Be submitted in writing (email is fine)
  • Include requested start and end dates

Freeze periods commence from the date your request is received and cannot be back-dated.

Can freezes be back-dated?

No. Freeze periods begin from the date written notice is received or requested in the written communication.

What is the minimum freeze period?

The minimum freeze period is one (1) full week.

Can freeze periods be split?

In most cases, no.

Freeze periods must be taken as one continuous block and cannot be split into individual days or shorter periods.

Exceptions – Weekly / Monthly Subscriptions & 12-Month Unlimited Membership

Members on a 12-month unlimited membership or subscription membership may split their total freeze entitlement per attendance year into:

  • Minimum one (1) week blocks, four in total,
provided adequate written notice is given for each freeze period.
  • Requests for freeze periods for injury or illness will always be considered, within the maximum freeze period per annum per membership.
